Facts

The molecular receiver is mounted on a stand along with the etalon controller, temperature controller, and data acquisition electronics.
Uses molecular backscatter to measure 'clear air' winds in he the troposphere and lower stratosphere
Demonstrates "form and function" of spaceborne molecular receiver
Summer 1999: Integrated into moblie lidar system
Field wind measurements and validation to be performed in Fall 1999
